I couldn't find a comprehensive list of the HTML tags that Gmail's sanitizer allows through, so I wrote one up.

I know this is an old post, but it is quite helpful. Would you happen to know why these tags are not supported. I can see the argument for interactive elements such as details/summary tags not being supported for security reasons, and for that could load malicious content, but I am not sure why would be (since it is strictly content). Just curious if you had any ideas. :-)

I would guess the list does not get updated very often, so perhaps it's just that more "modern" HTML5 tags have not been added. Or perhaps they have been sometime in the last 10 years :)
